About units in Civilization II
Units are built in cities for production shields and supported by their home city. Attack and Defense ratings resolve combat; Movement decides how far a unit travels each turn. Veteran units fight 50% better — build Barracks or win battles to earn the stripe.
Strategy — The golden rule of the classic games: attack with attackers, defend with defenders. A unit's stats tell you which it is — never garrison with a Legion when a Phalanx costs the same.
